What's The real Story Behind Entrepreneurship...Here are some facts

you should know:

According to recent studies:

...America has about 400,000 new startup businesses every year.

We are behind in starting new firms per capita, and this is our single most serious economic problem.

The U.S. now ranks not first, not second, not third, but 12th among developed nations in terms of business startup activity. (Countries such as Hungary, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Sweden, Israel and Italy all have higher startup rates than America does.)

According to a report by the  "Gallup Business Journal, Jan 2016 in an article "Is Entrepreneurship Dead or Alive" written by Jim Clifton, Chairman of Gallup.

Who is Starting and Running Small Businesses?

  • Average Age of Small Business Owners...Owners of small businesses are also not that young: 51% of owners of small businesses are 50-88 years old, 33% are 35-49 and only 16% are 35 years old and under.

  • Average Age Of New Start Up Owners...A recent Kauffman Foundation report revealed that the average age of a first-time founder in the U.S. is 39 years old. We often hear about millennials starting technology companies or college dropouts building mobile apps. The truth is that individuals start companies at all points during their careers.

It's not necessarily the youngest at heart, but age doesn't really matter. Just remember...Anyone can start a business, but not so many have been able to run them!

Small Heading

Business failures out number annual startups in America!

For the first time in 35 years, American business deaths now outnumber business births in the US. Yet you never see it mentioned in the media, nor hear from a politician, but it's big

as an elephant

(According to the same Gallup Business Report:)

The U.S. Census Bureau reports that the total number of new business startups and business closures per year -- the birth and death rates of American companies -- have crossed for the first time since the measurement began.

  • 400,000 new businesses are being born annually

  • 470,000 per year are dying.

According to the 2016 Gallup Business Report above; on a nationwide basis.
